cTDR

Cervical Total Disc Replacement

Our Simplify™ cervical total disc replacement (cTDR) is designed to treat conditions associated with cervical disc degeneration while offering surgeons best-in-class capabilities for cTDR across key performance functions—anatomy, physiologic motion, and radiologic design.

Simplify

The Forefront of Innovation in cTDR Treatment

Simplify™ Cervical Disc is designed to fit patient anatomy, protect facets, and prevent over distracting. It is engineered for enhanced visualization through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).2 A surgical plan, whether it be fusion or cTDR, depends on an individual patient’s clinical conditions as well as the FDA cleared or approved device indications; however, both surgeons and patients have a growing interest in maintaining motion following cervical spine surgery. Our cTDR portfolio is designed to do just that for patients who meet the FDA approved indications for these devices.

Measuring Outcomes. Maintaining Motion.

Superior Clinical Results vs. Fusion3:

  • Higher composite clinical success rates
  • Higher rate of meaningful improvement in Neck Disability Index (15 points)
  • No device failures within 24 months of index procedure of neurological deterioration
  • Lower postoperative narcotic usage at all follow-ups at 24 months
  • Faster recovery

Why Design Matters

Simplify™ Cervical Disc Design Principles

Simplify diagram
Lowest Available Disc Heights

Offered in 12 size combinations, Simplify™ Cervical Disc features the lowest available disc heights, starting at 4mm, to accommodate varying patient anatomies and protect facet joints.

Fluoro
Radiologic Design

The PEEK endplates and ceramic core of Simplify™ Cervical Disc permit detailed anatomic visualization on MRI imaging3 postoperatively, as compared to competitive devices.

Physiologic Motion

Simplify™ Cervical Disc is designed to replicate the natural motion of the spine. The unique biconvex, dual articulation allows for pure translation, coupled motion patterns, and a variable center of rotation at each treated level.

Optimized Biocompatibility

Simplify™ Cervical Disc offers nickel-free materials and metal-free articulating surfaces, designed to significantly minimize the risk of metal-wear debris.
