Navigated Interchangeable Guide End Effector
Active navigation of the End Effector allows ExcelsiusGPS® to locate the exact position of the robotic arm, in real time.
The Interchangeable Guide End Effector easily adapts to different instrument diameters through a series of interchangeable guide tubes, and improves safety by preventing arm movement during instrument engagement.
Patient Stabilization Stand
This floor-mounted platform is easily positioned under conventional OR tables to rigidly fixate the skull during the procedure.
The design allows room for the mobile robotic base station or intraoperative imaging system.
CT-Fluoroscopy Registration Workflow
ExcelsiusGPS® offers the only fluoroscopy-based registration method for cranial applications on the market.
Patient registration is simplified, with only two fluoroscopy images needed to merge to a preoperative CT scan. This workflow was designed to decrease registration time while maintaining accuracy and minimizing radiation exposure.
Frame-Based or Frameless Navigation
There are two navigation setup options with Cranial Solutions: frame-based navigation with a stereotactic frame and the frame-reference array, or frameless navigation with the Mayfield 3-pin fixation and the dynamic reference base (DRB) array.
Available Cranial Instruments
ExcelsiusGPS® is an open platform able to integrate a variety of instruments for stereotactic procedures. For example, the system is compatible with tracked instruments such as the navigated biopsy needle and verification probe.
In addition, the Interchangeable Guide End Effector acts as the interface between instruments and the robotic system that adapts to instruments that best accommodate the surgeon's workflow.
