There are many forms of interactions between Globus and Physicians that advance medical science and help to improve patient care. Developing new medical technology and improving existing products are collaborative processes between Globus and Physicians. The safe and effective use of sophisticated surgical technology often requires Globus to offer Physicians appropriate instruction, education, training, service and technical support. Regulators may also require this type of training as a condition of product approval.
Globus is committed to the advancement of spine medical technology and improving patient care. As such, we invest in a robust research and development program. An essential element of that program is working with the medical community on research projects.
Physicians with unique expertise and experience may serve as consultants to Globus. Consultants provide valuable bona fide services, including research, participation on advisory boards, presentations at Globus-sponsored training and product collaboration.
Globus’ support of bona fide medical education and enhancement of professional skills serves patient safety and increases access to new technology.

Globus believes that fellowships are an essential part of a surgeon’s education process. Currently, Globus supports genuine fellowship programs with charitable or academic affiliations.
Charitable Donations and Giving
Monetary or product donations are provided by Globus for charitable purposes, such as supporting indigent care, patient and public education and medical mission trips. This increases access to, as well as the quality of, care and treatment in patent populations that may not otherwise be reached.

Funding pursuant to a research grant request is in no way intended to impact a surgeon’s choice of products. In fact, any inference of a connection between research funding and past and future sales will have a detrimental effect on the funding decision and may prohibit Globus from approving the grant request.
