David Paul
Chairman and CEO
Since founding Globus Medical in March of 2003, David Paul has held the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Paul founded the company with a vision to create products that enable spine surgeons to use both fusion and non-fusion solutions to meet the needs of their patients. Since its inception, Mr. Paul has directed Globus’ growth into one of the top ten spine companies in the world and his product development team has over 85 patents already filed and pending on behalf of Globus.
Prior to founding Globus, Mr. Paul served as Director of Product Development for Synthes Spine responsible for all product development and marketing functions of the company. He was also a named inventor on approximately 25 patents while at Synthes. Prior to Synthes, he worked as a Research Engineer in biomaterials research at Temple University for several years.
Mr. Paul received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Madras, and his Master of Science in Computer Integrated Mechanical Engineering Systems from Temple University.
Dave Demski
President, Chief Operating Officer
Dave Demski has served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Globus Medical since August 2008. Mr. Demski is responsible for all day-to-day operating activities of the Company.
Prior to becoming President & COO, Mr. Demski served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Company since its inception in March of 2003. In that role, he was responsible for leading the Company's efforts in raising capital, including a $110 million equity offering completed in July of 2007, led by Clarus Ventures and included Goldman Sachs and AIG as investors.
Prior to joining Globus, Mr. Demski was the founder of Cornerstone Capital LBO Fund, a boutique leveraged buyout consultancy where he was instrumental in raising capital and financial re-engineering for a number of entrepreneurial ventures. Mr. Demski's experience also includes serving as VP for Gilo Ventures, a Silicon Valle based venture capital fund, COO of Rendall and Associates, a telecommunications focused consulting firm; various financial and general management roles with Domino's Pizza Distribution Corp; and a member of the audit staff at KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr. Demski holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Rick Kienzle
Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Rick Kienzle joined Globus Medical in October of 2003 as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In this role Mr. Kienzle is responsible for all sales functions of Globus including the development of a national distribution network for Globus.
Before joining Globus, Mr. Kienzle served as Area Vice President, Northeast for Synthes Spine where he was responsible for all sales and marketing for this top performing region with over $90M in annual revenue. Mr. Kienzle’s experience also includes serving as National Business Director of United States Surgical Corporation, as well as experience in the banking field working for The Equitable Financial Companies and Mellon Bank.
Mr. Kienzle received his Bachelor of Arts from Denison University.
David Davidar
Vice President for Operations
Since being part of the founding group of Globus Medical in March of 2003, David Davidar has held the position of Vice President for Operations. In this capacity, Mr. Davidar has responsibility for all operations including human resources for Globus which have successfully supported the rapid growth of the company.
Prior to joining Globus, Mr. Davidar served as the Executive Director of Highway Home, an assisted living facility. During his tenure, Mr. Davidar successfully turned around the organization by improving resident services, streamlining operations, improving human resources which resulted in enhanced customer satisfaction and significant improvement in profitability. Mr. Davidar also served in a management capacity for Pizza Hut, Inc.
Mr. Davidar holds a Bachelors in Commerce, Economics and Management from the University of Madras and an MBA from Bloomsburg University.
Glenn Kenney
Vice President, Corporate and Strategy Development
Glenn Kenney joined Globus in July of 2006 as Vice President, Corporate and Strategy Development and is responsible for the following areas within Globus: Surgeon Relations, Basic & Applied Research, Engineering Services, and National Accounts. In addition, Glenn will work closely with the executive team to help the company set and achieve its overall business goals worldwide.
Prior to joining Globus, Mr. Kenney served at Teleflex Inc., ($2.5B Global Company in the commercial, medical, and aerospace markets), where he was President of Teleflex Fluid Systems, leading a turnaround of this $130M division. Prior to this position, Glenn has had a stellar career in strategic planning, business development, and corporate planning in various multi-billion dollar organizations. Glenn began his career by serving in the US Navy as Lieutenant Commander, first, on the nuclear attack submarine USS Sturgeon, and later at the Pentagon in the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Glenn has a Bachelor' s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master' s Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Naval Nuclear Power School in Orlando. In addition, Glenn has a MBA degree from the Harvard Business School.
